Heeleys Consulting is a small Australian business specialising in two main areas:

IT and education services Kate Heeley has a background in both the IT industry and teaching the IT Level II certificate course in a school. She has worked for IBM as a programmer, business analyst and business project leader. Following that she worked as a computing/IT teacher, and was one of a small number of teachers entrusted to implement a pilot scheme in NSW for teaching a Level II (Tafe) certificate in a high school. She subsequently managed a small business of workplace coordination for senior school students. Initiatives here included a two day workshop aimed at introducing Year 9/10 girls to potential careers in IT.

She also provides IT consulting to small businesses, providing a range of services for an affordable price. Small business services include web sites, business cards, marketing material and graphic design. Finally a 2 year term as CEO of the national sporting body, Australian Canoeing means Kate is also very well aware of the nature of managing a high level sport.
Engineering Services Peter Heeley is an engineer with over 30 years experience in the power industry. Working in pollution control and waste management within coal fired power stations, he has consulted extensively around the world and authored many papers in this field. Now an independent consultant, he specialises in air pollution control equipment including fabric filters and electrostatic precipitators. Another speciality is the utilisation of the ash collected by this equipment.
He is a Life Member and former Chairman of the Board of the Ash Development Association of Australia, the industry body that researches and promotes the beneficial use of ash.
His final area of expertise is that of design, development and operations of whitewater canoe course facilities. He was the designer and Project Director for the Penrith Whitewater Stadium project, the venue for canoe slalom competitions at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Subsequently he has consulted on a number of similar projects around the world, including the Beijing Olympic Aquatic Park, London’s 2012 Olympic venue and another international whitewater project in the United Arab Emirates.
